What We’re Looking For:
Cloud9 is looking for a passionate and talented Social Media Manager to develop and implement social media strategies for our League of The Americas (LTA) team in order to enhance brand visibility, engage our target audience, and drive business results. The ideal candidate is a social media enthusiast with a proven track record of managing successful campaigns, staying ahead of industry trends, and fostering meaningful connections with online communities. The ideal candidate will be expected to integrate into the daily operations of the LTA team to capture and share the energy and excitement of our players, coaches, and staff.
This role will report directly to the General Manager: League of Legends and work closely with our Marketing, Content, Partnerships, and Team Ops teams.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as the primary social media manager for the LTA team, owning all social media strategies specific to the team.
Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives.
Be on-site with the LTA team for practices, scrims, events, and activations to create original, timely, and engaging content.
Create engaging and shareable content across various social media platforms.
Plan and execute social media campaigns, promotions, and collaborations to drive brand awareness and engagement.
Curate relevant and trending content to maintain an active and relevant online presence.
Foster a positive online community by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
Monitor online conversations for any discussions or rumors involving our players or brand, promptly informing the Team Ops department and collaborating with internal teams to shape timely and strategic responses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media into overall marketing initiatives.
Utilize social media analytics tools to track, measure, and report on the performance of social media campaigns.
Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned social media accounts and social media management software, including creating and executing social plans that contribute to platform growth and marketing goals.
Monitor emerging social media trends, tools, and platforms to ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry best practices.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in social media management.
Must be local to Los Angeles.
Must be available to work in the team house when the LTA team is in season.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate community events and game coverage.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Valid Driver’s License and Passport.
Proven experience in managing social media platforms (Twitch, Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc)
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, preferably Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom.
Ability to shoot and edit photo content.
Strong understanding of short-form video content, including TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and serving as the point of contact between multiple stakeholders.
Deep understanding of League of Legends, preferably plays League of Legends.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High empathy and ability to self-regulate emotions when under increasing stress.
Ability to apply intelligence to practical, real-world scenarios, where a “book solution” doesn’t necessarily exist.
Strong active listening skills with an emphasis on understanding. The artful ability to deliver clear and logical thoughts in response.
High growth-oriented mindset with a strong internal need for achievement.
The inclination to question the status quo in pursuit of better information or more innovative solutions.
