Job Summary

Safar Staffing is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning & Maintenance Specialists to support businesses across Minnesota in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities. This role is essential to creating a professional environment by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance tasks in warehouses, offices, retail spaces, manufacturing plants, and other commercial settings. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety protocols, and ensures every space is well-maintained and presentable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces
  
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors to ensure cleanliness and safety
  
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and manage recycling programs
  
• Clean and restock restrooms with soap, paper products, and other supplies
  
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, counter tops, and equipment
  
• Dust furniture, windowsills, fixtures, and other surfaces throughout the facility
  
• Perform basic facility maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and equipment upkeep
  
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as needed
  
• Monitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly
  
• Follow proper cleaning procedures, use appropriate cleaning agents, and adhere to safety guidelines
  
• Support supervisors and team members with special cleaning projects or seasonal deep-cleaning tasks
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning, or facility maintenance roles preferred
  
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and chemical handling
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  
• Capability to lift up to 30–40 lbs (cleaning supplies, equipment, trash bags)
  
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
  
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
  
• Basic understanding of safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
