Job Description

We are looking for a Maximo Implementation Consultant to join our consulting team and provide market leadership for the Life Science industry. This is a remote contract position for a client located in the Sacramento, CA area, with additional onsite work as needed.

We’re looking for thought leaders who:

  • Successful candidates will work with project teams and clients by participating in full software development lifecycle activities that encompass requirements analysis, solution design, software development and testing.
  • Candidates will develop and apply skills to implement software end-user requirements using the embedded configuration tools found within the Maximo application.
  • Develop configuration designs, and technical specifications to meet customer needs
  • Work with appropriate managers to develop and deploy applications
  • Complete general programming and integration activities
  • Participate in design, coding and testing of custom solutions
  • Facilitate clients through a requirement discovery process
  • Prototype and document requirements
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct Maximo installations and upgrades, if applicable
  • Participate in solution architecture design
  • Perform application and solution development to meet project requirements
  • Develop and document detailed technical designs to meet business requirements
  • Manage multiple technical environments and support the development and testing processes
  • Lead or assist in data conversion and migration efforts
  • Identify areas of customization and optimization and provide solutions that meet the business requirements
  • Conduct system testing as necessary
  • Assist users as necessary in support of go-live activities
  • Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others
  • Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the client and contract
  • Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business language as well as conduct in depth technical discussions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work as a team member and as a liaison with customers
  • Analytical and innovative with the ability to collect data, analyze information and develop feasible recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience plus 7 or more years experience in programming in consulting environments
  • Expertise with modern programming languages, relational databases and operating environments,
  • Strong experience with MAXIMO modules (prefer 7.6) and having worked on modifying them in a real customer implementation
  • Project Management and strong organizational skills are needed for this role
  • Familiar with the CSV requirements in the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Minimum of 1-2 full cycle implementation of IBM Maximo asset management solution
