Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator
Location: New York, NY.
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30am- 5:00pm.
Job Type: Full Time; W-2.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 USD + up to 10% bonus.

*This is a fully onsite role in Manhattan, NYC. We do not provide relocation packages/visa sponsorship.

Job Description:
VitalCheck Wellness, as an independent contractor, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HSE Coordinator to support the global Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program at a prestigious asset management firm headquartered in New York City. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about workplace safety, ergonomics, and employee wellness who's ready to make a meaningful impact in a corporate environment. You'll assist in conducting ergonomic assessments, supporting compliance and inspections, promoting wellness initiatives, and maintaining accurate HSE documentation — all while working collaboratively across teams to enhance a culture of safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide workstation setup assistance.
• Support local health and safety compliance, inspections, and reporting.
• Assist with safety audits, documentation, and follow-up actions.
• Promote employee wellness and engagement initiatives.
• Maintain HSE records and ensure accurate data tracking.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement safety and wellness programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op placements welcome).
• OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
• Must be able to reliably commute to New York City, NY.
