Job Description
French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Construction Inspector for our Wall and Camden, NJ locations.
Responsibilities - Providing daily on-site inspection of construction work to ensure the project is in compliance with plans and specification.
- Observe field work to ensure workmanship and materials used meet standards.
- Monitor and prepare daily documentation recording materials, construction activity, equipment, and manpower on various project sites.
- Conduct tests to verify material properties for various construction materials including soil, concrete and asphalt.
- Review construction plans and compare with observations to verify that materials and equipment conform with contract documents.
- Keep organized and up to date project files
Required Qualifications - At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry or performing construction inspection
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Candidate should be motivated, organized, and willing to work in the field
- Reliable transportation to and from construction sites in varying locations.
- Able to traverse construction sites
- ACI Grade 1 Field Technician or Certification to operate nuclear density gauge.
Preferred Qualifications - New Jersey DCA Certification is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (or Current Enrollment) from an accredited school of Civil Engineering
- Associate’s degree (or Current Enrollment) in Engineering related curriculum
- EIT and/or NICET II Plus Certifications
- NJSAT Lab or Field Testing

Compensation The projected compensation range for this position is $45,000 to $75,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, skill set and location.
