Job Description

What you’ll do

• Gain hands-on experience in a lab setting, testing thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties of advanced materials 
  
• Support real-world projects focused on thermal management of electronic devices across industries such as data communications, telecommunications, aerospace, and industrial automation 
  
• Test new product formulations for our brand Bergquist to validate performance against customer requirements and industry standards 
  
• Compile and analyze test data, creating detailed reports and PowerPoint presentations for internal teams and customer engagement. 
  
• Generate clear, comparative graphs of material properties to support product portfolio evaluations. 
  
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to troubleshoot and improve testing methods and product performance.  

What makes you a good fit

• A rising junior or rising senior graduating in 2027 or 2028 pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or Environmental Science 
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  
• Hands-on lab experience with material testing and data documentation. 
  
• Familiarity with safe chemical handling procedures and lab safety protocols.

Additional information

• This internship is NOT eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.  
  
• Henkel’s Summer 2026 internship program starts on May 27th, 2026, and runs through mid-August.   
  
• Recruitment for our 2026 internships starts in late August 2025 and runs through early March 2026 or until all our positions are filled.

The salary for this role is $22-$27/hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
