Job Title: Corporate Tax Accountant
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Corporate Tax Accountant for our corporate operations based in Lenexa, KS. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax guidelines by handling tax returns, communicating with tax jurisdictions, conducting tax research, and assisting in audits.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare assigned federal, state, local, property, sales & use, and special tax returns in a timely and accurate manner by collecting, analyzing, and formatting financial information.
+ Respond to and resolve jurisdictional inquiries and correspondence promptly.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements by studying jurisdictional documents and regulations, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions.
+ Perform assigned tax account reconciliations and follow up through researching, documenting, and resolving exceptions.
+ Maintain current professional and technical knowledge by attending online webinars, educational seminars, and reviewing professional publications.
+ Contribute to team goals by accomplishing related tasks in a timely manner.
+ Assist with tax audits while minimizing disruptions to branch operations.
+ Assist in the preparation of income tax apportionment and provision work papers.
+ Provide excellent customer service to support branch operations with timely and accurate responses.
Essential Skills
+ 2-4 years of tax experience in a corporate environment.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
+ Experience with sales and use tax compliance in a multistate environment.
+ Experience with federal, state, income, and franchise tax is a plus.
+ Longevity in tenure with past employers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a large company environment is preferred ($750 MM and up).
+ Familiarity with CCH software.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
