Stevenson School is a PK-12 co-educational, college-preparatory, boarding and day school with enrollment of 770 students on two campuses in beautiful Central Coast California . The Upper Division campus (Grades 9-12) is located in Pebble Beach. The Lower/Middle Campus (Grades PK-8) is in nearby Carmel-by-the-Sea. Stevenson School seeks Substitute Teachers for all divisions and disciplines for the 2022-2023 school year.

• Lower Division; Grades PK - 4
• Middle Division; Grades 5-8
• Upper Division; Grades 9-12

Satisfactory completion of background checks including references, and state and federal criminal databases, as well as a TB negative status statement will be required. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Classroom management
• Implementation of lesson plans, as appropriate
• Communication with division leadership and divisional and/or departmental colleagues

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Previous classroom teaching experience with students in similar age group or demonstrated relevant experience that would support success in a substitute teaching role
• A passion for learning and the ability to motivate and inspire students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Personal traits appropriate for nurturing the growth of children - must be energetic, creative, flexible, patient, and have an inexhaustible sense of humor
