Job Description

Stage managers are needed for the following productions for HCE Players! We are most urgently hiring for "Echoes of Brigid" which goes up at The Burren in Somerville on February 1st.


"Echoes of Brigid" - MOST URGENT - Rehearsals currently happening in Cambridge on Thursdays and Saturdays until February 1st. Performance is on February 1st at The Burren in Somerville at 3 PM.


"Henry V Excerpt" - Rehearsals starting Feb. 1st and running 2-3x a week in Cambridge until March 17th. Performance is on March 17th at the Irish Charitable Society Event.


"The Weir" - Rehearsals starting February 26th and running 2-3x a week in Cambridge until April 3rd. Tech runs from April 6th - April 10th, with performances at The Foundry in Cambridge on April 10th - 12th.


"Bloomsday" - Rehearsals starting in April with performances traveling around Boston/Cambridge/Somerville from June 11th - 16th.

Qualifications:

Job Duties:

• attend all rehearsals and take blocking notes
• be on book for lines once actors are off book
• coordinate artistic and logistical aspects of the production with the director
• attend any / all production meetings
• attend and help run tech week along with the production team

and any other duties needed from the director / HCE Players! Each show may have different needs, so sometimes an SM's job can vary.
Qualifications:

• previous experience as an SM or ASM in a fully staged production
• interest in technical theatre
• technical theatre experience in some way
• whichever part is your favorite!
• a kind and collaborative attitude with the team and cast
• a passion for theatre, especially a new professional theatre company specializing in Irish works!
