Job Description



RRD is seeking an experienced, high-caliber Part-Time Real Estate Transactions Attorney to join its Legal Department. This role is focused exclusively on supporting the company's real estate portfolio and requires approximately 20-25 hours per week.

Core Responsibilities:
  • The attorney will serve as a key legal advisor on all real estate matters, taking the lead on negotiations and documentation.
  • Act as lead counsel for all real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and various property matters.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review commercial leases, preferably for retail and industrial properties, and manage lease renewals and amendments.
  • Develop, review, and negotiate all contracts related to the real estate portfolio.
  • Provide timely legal advice and counsel to management on real estate-related legal and business matters, including risk allocation and contract structure.
  • Work collaboratively with business teams to ensure legal strategies align with real estate objectives.
  • Work closely with RRD’s property management services provider.

Qualifications



The ideal candidate is an independent, results-focused legal practitioner with deep experience in commercial real estate law.

Required Experience:
  • Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • 3–5 years of significant experience working within a law firm or corporate environment, with proven expertise in real estate transactions and lease negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with senior leadership, C-suite executives, and external parties.

  • Legal Expertise: Proven track record of drafting and negotiating contracts solely related to complex real estate transactions and commercial leases. Must possess a proactive, hands-on style toward managing legal and business risks.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice that aligns with the company’s real estate business strategy.
  • Influencing & Communication: Self-confident, mature, and an adept communicator who can operate with a minimum of direct supervision and serve as a trusted advisor to senior management.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a diverse team, prioritizing business objectives and demonstrating an open, collaborative style.

Additional Information



RRD's current salary range for this role is $70,000 to $110,000 / year. The salary range may be adjusted
based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the
future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and
compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency,
performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation
package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD’s benefit

company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental
