Part-Time Nanny – Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY
A busy professional single father in Park Slope is seeking a warm, trustworthy, and energetic nanny to care for his two children, a 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. The position begins in mid-October (start date flexible).
About the Family
Single father, co-parenting with mother, who lives just 10 minutes away in Brooklyn.
Children alternate between both households.
Schedule & Compensation
Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Every Other Saturday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Guaranteed 25–30 hours per week
Compensation: $30/hour
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the children’s safety and well-being while creating a joyful, engaging environment that supports their growth and happiness.
Manage school pick-ups, after-school transitions, and bedtime routines.
Plan and engage children in play, reading, and creative activities.
Prepare simple, child-friendly meals and snacks.
Provide light household support related to the children (tidying play areas, cleaning up after meals).
Coordinate smoothly between two households and maintain consistency in routines.
Transport children to weekend activities (ballet, swimming).
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must provide 3–5 professional childcare references.
Experienced career nanny with proven success caring for young children (ages 3–5).
Energetic, patient, compassionate, and joyful with children.
Trustworthy & reliable.
Comfortable navigating co-parenting dynamics.
Driver’s license required with clean driving record; car ownership a plus (family can provide a vehicle).
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
