The Mainframe Developer will provide technical expertise to design, develop, and support mainframe-based applications. This role involves hands-on development, testing, documentation, and collaboration with technical teams and end users to deliver high-quality mainframe solutions. The developer will work under the direction of a project manager and participate in system analysis, program specification development, unit testing, and user-supported system testing.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and system requirements and develop program specifications
- Develop new and modify existing COBOL/CICS/DB2 programs
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and usability testing with users
- Participate in system and user acceptance testing
- Develop and maintain technical and support documentation
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support mainframe system enhancements and conversions
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on COBOL coding, testing, and debugging
- 5+ years of experience with CICS
- 5+ years of experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS)
- 5+ years of experience with IBM DB2
- Experience developing technical and support documentation
- Experience participating in user and usability testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with stored procedures
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical education
- 5+ years of overall IT experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with IDMS to DB2 database conversions
- Experience with IDMS/DC to CICS conversions

- Onsite work is required in Trenton, NJ.
