Industrial Electrician | Jenison, MI

Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Jenison seeking Industrial Electricians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, multimeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose faults.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical components, control systems, and power distribution systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in motors, wiring, transformers, generators, and control panels.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies during all work.
• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for system setup and troubleshooting.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs).
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Experience with three-phase power, motor controls, and industrial machinery wiring.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial robotics troubleshooting and maintenance (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Experience utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Advanced instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting skills (e.g., flow, pressure, temperature transmitters).
