Job Description

Primary Objective Of Position

Order vendor products for newly originated loans, mail disclosure notices to members, and deliver data and documentation to our investors and sub-servicing partner for loan boarding.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare loan estimates with details from purchase contracts and update closing dates, all contact information for realtors/seller/title company, fees, seller credits, earnest money deposits, tax proration, and escrow amounts.
  • Request appraisal, insurance, and title work for each loan.
  • Mail disclosure notices to members for all loan applications.
  • Assign loans to home loans processors.
  • Ensure loan has boarded correctly to Rally CU and sub-servicer system.
  • Upload all home loans documentation for each newly originated loan to sub-servicing partner and to Rally CU optical system.
  • Enter and submit wire for escrow accounts.
  • Ensure original home loans note and deed are properly filed and scanned or delivered to the investor when loan is secondary.
  • Maintain tracking and delivery of trailing documents such as recorded title policy, deed, and Texas home equity security instrument to ensure completion by third party and delivered to Investor when loan is secondary.
  • Review all signed closing documents for completion to allow funding approval.
  • Retrieve missing signatures from home loans loan originator, member and title company.
  • Balance funding notes to the closing disclosure to ensure accurate funding request.
  • Prepare/mail checks and/or wire requests for payments to all parties involved in loan.
  • Ensure accuracy of ACH and mailing addresses for Rally CU and sub-servicing.
  • Ensure PASS on all compliance and HMDA checks.
  • Back up Home Loans Receptionist for lunch coverage and when needed.
  • Deliver paid in full documentation requests to sub-servicing partner.
  • Manage and maintain a clean lobby area and member traffic.
  • Greet members, address inquiries on home loans questions.
  • Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate personnel.
  • Cross sell Credit Union services.
  • Follow current policies and procedures set by the Board of Directors.
  • Comply with financial industry rules and regulations as required by law.

Contacts: Frequent contact with members, home loans personnel, and third-party services.

Requirements

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma/GED.

Experience

  • Two (2) years progressive administrative/clerical experience and customer service skills.
  • Financial and home loans experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Wrist / hand movement is inherent in the job, restriction to workstation for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to hear for frequent telephone communications is necessary.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for frequent viewing of computer monitor and review of documents.

  • Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
  • Must have a strong ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
  • Must have a strong ability to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.

  • Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
  • Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
  • Proven ability to make decisions based upon prior precedence, business knowledge and judgment.
  • Requires basic mathematical and general business knowledge. Preferred knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing home loans lending including but not limited to HMDA, RESPA, REG Z, and ECOA compliance.
  • Most important to this position are reliability, accuracy, timeliness, organizational skills, and follow-through and communication skills.

Equipment Requirements

  • Personal computer with windows environment, copy machine, typewriter, telephone, calculator, and fax machine.
