Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on machines
Practice workplace safety
Perform deep trenching methods using trench boxes and slide rail systems.
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth to grade specifications.
Knowledge of operation of excavators and other pieces of heavy equipment (CAT preferred)
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner
Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Ability to install sewer, water, duct banks, and storm drain pipes
Must be honest, trustworthy, and demonstrate sound work ethics
Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance
Must have transportation, be punctual, and dependable
Working knowledge of trench boxes
Willingness to travel

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Sit 1/3 – 2/3 of the time
Lift between 25 – 80 pounds - 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
Reach with hands and arms 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
Climb or balance 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
Climb up and down ladders
5 years experience and/or training (CAT experience preferred) .
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and process manuals.
Valid Colorado driver’s license with a safe driving record.
