¡Salud! is a dual-concept hospitality space - a specialty coffee shop by day and a high-energy cocktail bar by night - where every sip is a celebration. We elevate everyday moments through exceptional service, handcrafted offerings and a culture of community, connection and celebration. As we prepare to open our flagship location, we’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Café Manager to lead our daytime program.

Position Overview

The Director of Coffee will oversee the daily operations of our specialty coffee program, ensuring seamless service, exceptional product execution and a positive, growth-oriented team culture. This leader will collaborate closely with ownership, the executive chef and the bar director to ensure alignment across all concepts. The ideal candidate is organized, hospitality-driven and excited to build systems, train staff and uphold the ¡Salud! standard.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
  • Oversee daily café operations including opening procedures, shift flow and closing tasks

  • Maintain a clean, organized and efficient workspace in accordance with SOPs and health codes

  • Ensure all café equipment is maintained, calibrated and in working order

  • Manage inventory, ordering, par levels and vendor relationships (coffee roasters, dairy, bakery, etc.)
Team Management & Training
  • Recruit, train and develop café staff (baristas, counter staff)

  • Conduct ongoing coaching and performance reviews

  • Uphold company standards for hospitality, cleanliness, professionalism and safety

  • Build positive team culture and model ¡Salud!’s values during all interactions
Guest Experience
  • Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive and elevated service

  • Monitor speed of service, drink quality and café environment throughout all shifts

  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism and care
Administrative Duties
  • Create and manage café schedules based on forecasted volume

  • Track labor, COGS and operational costs to meet financial targets

  • Maintain training manuals, SOPs and operational documentation

  • Ensure compliance with state and local health, safety, ServSafe and food-handling requirements
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of café management or high-volume specialty coffee leadership experience

  • Strong understanding of specialty coffee, espresso fundamentals and workflow

  • Experience overseeing and training teams

  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills

  • A hospitality-driven mindset with a passion for service and community

  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends and peak periods

  • ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain)
