The bartender’s role is to provide “Guest First” service at all times, making the Guest the heart and passion of all they do. This includes friendly and timely interaction with Guests and Team Members, mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, suggestive selling, answering questions, taking and delivering the Guests’ order, cooperative service, and following up to ensure each Guest receives their correct food and/or drink order. Every Guest is made to feel welcome at all times.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to balance serving tray when transferring for beverage order
  • Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an 6-8 hours shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items
  • Ability to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking area
  • Ability to clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machine

Education / Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous bartender experience preferred
  • California Food Handler Certificate 
  • Fluent in English / Preferred languages: Mandarin and Spanish

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be at least 21 when required by alcohol laws.
  • Hardworking, professional dedication, strong interpersonal communication skills, and strong teamwork spirit
  • Obtain the California Food Handler Certificate

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes and greets Guests following established service guidelines.
  • Takes beverage orders from the server or directly from guests, repeating order for confirmation.
  • Answers questions and makes recommendations about our food, beverages, features, and other restaurant functions and services.
  • Clearly understands correct process in serving Guests with allergens.
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Prepares cocktails and other bar beverages according to company recipes.
  • Follows alcohol awareness procedures to prevent Guest intoxication; notifies Manager on Duty with any questions surrounding alcohol service to Guests.
  • Provide exceptional Customer Service at all times.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Accurately count inventory at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain inventory as assigned.
  • Ready and willing to assist fellow Team Members in meeting Guest needs.
  • Performs side work at the start, throughout, and end of each shift as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
