Position Summary: Compiles and reviews accounts payable documents and prepare document batches for processing; reviews completed accounts payable runs; prepares special manual checks; responds to employee and vendor inquiries; and prepares and maintains accounts payable records and reports. Under direct supervision of the Accounting Supervisor. Ensures adherence to hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed Responsibilities: - ACCOUNTS - Compiles and reviews accounts payable documents according to established procedures; matches purchase orders, receiving reports and invoices, and compares price and quantity information; identifies any discrepancies and takes appropriate corrective action
- ACCOUNTS - Records appropriate vendor and expense account numbers on invoice and prepares accounts payable documents batches for data processing
- ACCOUNTING - Review completed accounts payable check runs and verifies their accuracy
- ACCOUNTING - Match supplier's credit memos with hospital debit memos, and investigate and resolve any identified discrepancies
- ACCOUNTING - Prepare special manual check as directed, according to established procedures
- COMMUNICATION - Receive and answer inquiries from hospital employees and vendors regarding purchase orders, invoice data, accounts payable checks and related matters
- ACCOUNTING - Prepare accounts payable reports, maintain accounts payable records and perform special projects as assigned
- CUSTOMER RELATIONS - Establish and maintain good rapport and effective working relationships with patients, visitors, physicians and Hospitals employees
- RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
